Since I haven’t yet tried to get into one of my alma mater’s packed fashion shows, I looked through the aw 2008 show online. It was up to CSM’s usual high standards but these are my favourites…
Kari Landen – A proper Margiela in the making here. I can imagine someone like Tilda Swinton wearing one of these and looking incredible.
Mark Fast - Interestingly textured knits are always a favorite with me, and indeed, knitwear is becoming an increasingly popular BA and MA pathway, which can been seen in the amount of amazing knitwear talents coming out of CSM.
Kirsty Gaston – I love this oversized mosaic-tile alligator skin. Particularly on the matching trousers and shoes, plus great use of grey marl.
Also Simone Shailes and David Steinhorst who won the L’Oreal and Harrods awards respectively.
